Throughout the journey of writing this book while searching for words to describe the contents I have always stated, “It is a picture of my heart as I truly believe I put my heart into this book.” In addition to the things I wrote about, my heart has such a passion for missions, and for youth ministry. With this in mind I am absolutely thrilled to have the book connect with missions and youth.
In March of 2013 a student, Katie, will go on a mission trip to Asia and serve at an orphanage. She will assist those at the orphanage with their daily tasks as well as pour out the Love of Christ on the children there. Her heart and passion for this trip is evident to all who talk about it with her. Therefore, I am thrilled to be able to help support Katie in raising support for the trip. For every book ordered within the first 30 days of its publication, I will donate a percentage of the royalties to support Katie’s trip. I hope you are blessed knowing a portion of the book’s cost is going to support such a worthwhile cause. Between now and then Katie will write a blog on this website to keep you up to date as she prepares for the trip. Thanks for supporting her!
Katie wanted to say a few words to you:
Hey guys, this is Katie! I wanted to introduce myself real quick. I was born in Minnesota, but when I was 2 years old I moved to Berlin with my family, where I lived for 10 years and now I live in Riedlingen, Germany. I am a junior at Black Forest Academy and have been involved in many activities including soccer and basketball, as well as a missions trip to Moldova. I have been praying about going to Asia since the summer after my freshman year and I am really exited that God has opened so many doors for me to be able to go. I am most exited spending time with the children at the orphanage, since I have a soft spot in my heart for kids. I am also looking forward to helping out at the hospital there, because I am very interested in studying medicine in the future. I think this trip is going to be an overall wonderful experience and I can’t wait to see all of the ways God will use our team to make an impact in Asia as we serve him there.
