God has given us all a unique set of gifts, talents, and interests. We cannot determine what talents we have been given, but we can decide what we do with those talents.
I have been fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to coach a track team for the past two years. Throughout the many miles we have covered together, I have continuously been impressed with their gifts and talents when it comes to running. However, what has blown me away is the way in which they use these gifts and talents to further God’s kingdom.
On Saturday April 18, two members of the track team are organizing, hosting, and running a 5k that will raise money to help support an orphanage in Kenya. Throughout the past months they have been planning all the logistics of the race. It has been really neat to see them work together and coordinate such a massive under-taking. I love their vision to help others, and the sacrifice of their time and efforts, as well as their ability to use their gifts and talents to bless others.
They are going to be selling copies of Running Through Life at their 5k, and they will also be selling some of the RTL shirts. 100% of the profits from the sales will go directly to their support of the orphanage. Knowing some who are attending the race may not bring extra cash with them, any and all sales of the book and/or shirt for the remainder of April will go toward their cause. So, if you have been thinking about getting a book or shirt for someone, now is a great time to do so!
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and love.
